Iris Barn Pasture
Up to 10 horses are kept as a herd at the Iris Barn. They are rotated through 15 different pastures on a total of approximately 40 acres. A 90’ by 110’ arena is nearby. There is a simple washrack. The Iris Barn is in a peaceful setting. A variety of trails start from the barn area. Trails range from easy to very challenging.
The following things are included in your rent at the Iris Barn Pastures:
- Hay is provided when needed.
- In addition to the pastures, each horse also has a pen at the Iris Barn. The pen is used when feeding is needed. Pens eliminate competition for food, and enforce portion control.
- Paste wormer is provided, as needed, determined by fecal parasite counts.
- Once a year a basic vet visit is provided where horses receive a mini-checkup and basic vaccinations. 4-way + rabies + West Nile. Questions for the vet are encouraged.
- Separate, locking tack rooms available for boarders. Small $20, large $30.
- Trailer parking.
Twining Pastures does not provide daily care. You must care for your own horse. Normally tenants work together as a Co-op to do daily checks on the horses and care for them.
Price: $260 per month per horse
